Is the result similar if you choose your scanning profile to be sRGB or Adobe RGB & then viewed in Photoshop? Perhaps your viewing / editing software is also NOT using the "Calibrated RGB" profile, so naturally, whatever your output viewing software would look different? Why are you using "Calibrated RGB" in your scanner settings & what in fact is that profile for YOU? Is that your monitor proifile? You never want to use your monitor profile for anything other than your monitor & be used by your monitor profiling software, ie: x-rite or datacolor.
So it could just be a profile mismatch being created & used by you / your softwares. What software are you viewing the scan with? It looks like Windows? What does it look like when you view it in Photoshop or another color managed software? I don't think that the Windows Browser Viewer is color managed & it wouldn't know what "Calibrated RGB" is supposed to represent? You need to provide us with more information about your workflow & softwares. or is it possibly something wrong with the scanner? Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong.
